Really, what would you do with 100 million dollars? Have you ever thought about it? Dreamt about it? Put down on paper what you would really do with that much money?
Besides being a fun exercise, it is very revealing. Is the focus on spending frivolously, on bills, or on experiences, or charitable donations? Do you factor in savings? How do you add value to your life and the life of others around you? Is that value sustainable?
The real questions would be; How is the person with 100 million dollars different that the person you are today? Are they more giving, loving, enthusiastic, open and outgoing? My guess is the answer is YES! Of course they are because they have 100 million dollars!
Going from $50,000 or $100,000 to $100,000,000 is a quantum leap. It is not likely to happen overnight and if it did, you may have a difficult time hanging on to the money if your money programming is stuck on “earn then spend”. This is why it is important to grow as a person and grow your money consciousness. If you do not handle the money you have now well, it will be no different with a larger amount.
Your plan for 100 million dollars should be reflected in your current financial reality in order for you to make more money and most importantly save more money. If you looked at the 100 million dollars and planned to spend some, save some and give some, is that what you do now? Are the proportions the same, similar, or vastly different?
Spend some time doing this exercise. Have fun with it, learn from it and apply it to your financial life now!
