Today is one month from the end of the year. How did you spend the Holidays last year? Would you like to have a better Holiday Season this year than last year? Would you like to spend the Holidays knowing you gave it your all and maybe even had some momentum and progress hit before the end of the year? Better yet, how would it feel to have another win before the end of the year?
Most of us would agree that even a great year can be improved. Think of how you would like to feel on December 31st when the clock is about to hit midnight. Who will you be with, and what will have been accomplished? How does this feel?
There are 4 and a half weeks until December 31st and you want to make some dramatic changes by the end of the year? If you think there just isn’t enough time to accomplish your annual goals by then, you have surrendered on your dreams. If you miss your goal, don’t beat yourself up, instead look back at the progress you did make. If you are closer to your goals than you were at the beginning of the year, that is a win. Know you are moving in the right direction and continue to take pointed action towards you goals. Look at the activity that produced the greatest results and focus there.
The next step would be to spend some time visualizing the goals met. Do this every day without fail! Next break your goals down to weekly action items. Then identify the resources you have available to make them happen every week. Put your plan in writing and let someone else know your intentions. If you are in a relationship, share this with your partner.
Stick to your plan and you may surprise yourself. Even if you fall short of your goal, you’ll be further ahead, won’t you?
