How important is real financial freedom to you? Can you visualize how it would look and feel?
If you’re like so many of the couple’s we work with, you likely have a financial dream or goal that you can never quite reach. Every time you ‘miss the mark’ and fall short, you’re that much closer to giving up on ever experiencing financial freedom.
Before you give up, try this Visualization Exercise to develop a new reality.
Why is visualization so important? It’s important to see a goal or a dream to subconsciously increase your belief that it can happen. Visualization helps you reprogram your brain to take different action in order for your reality to change.
It is also very important to create the feeling of that reality. Here’s how to do just that:
• Define the financial status that will allow you to lead your ideal life
• Decide what is your ideal net worth
• Determine what you make per year and how much you will save
• Describe what this would mean to you and those closest to you
In our latest audio series, Couples Money Financial Discovery & Visualization Exercise, Chris and I have put together an effective exercise to help you discover the root of your money programs and lead you through visualizing your ideal financial life. Consisting of three segments, the first segment helps you define (what I call) your “Point B.” It’s important to define your “Point B” to get the most from the visualization exercise, but once you do, you’ll be amazed at how powerful this exercise is.
It’s time to visually develop your “Point B”.
In the first audio, you’ll be asked to describe on paper what your ideal life would look like and the person you would be. The visualization exercise on the next audio helps you to visually develop the person you described as your “Point B”. (If you need help with your visualization, be sure to go back to those notes.)
It’s also helpful to define the feeling you are hoping to create. Is it:
Whatever the feeling, develop this reality in as much detail as possible before beginning the actual visualization exercise.
During the audio, we pause periodically to give you time to develop your visual. If you have any difficulty creating some of the visuals, just stick with whatever visual you can, whatever visual feels good.
This may take some time to develop, but don’t worry, I begin the visualization exercise with a technique to help you relax, clear, and quiet your mind before moving into creating visuals.
Remember, if you’re experiencing even low levels of frustration, anger, or resentment in your life these can cause major resistance. By Letting Go of Resistance, you’ll be able to see real financial opportunities as they present themselves. Our powerful visualization audio is the perfect tool to help you get out of your own way and shift your focus for the success you’ve been missing out on.
This is an exercise I recommend you do every day. Get started creating the financial freedom you envision by visualizing your new reality – Today!
